Virgin Media Complaint
I have been trying for weeks to contact Virgin Media about the switchover from NTL. Each time I call I am kept on hold
until I eventually hang up in frustration. This has happened at least 10 times.
Each time I hold on for around 10 to 20 minutes. I would have given up on them long ago, were it not that I really
wanted to keep my existing email address for commercial reasons.
Today I was on hold for 20 minutes at 10p a minute and once again hung up in a bad temper.
This time I googled Virgin Media Complaints so I could write a letter, and found all the vast amount of forum-talk
about how disgracefully Virgin are behaving towards former NTL customers.
I certainly won't be 'upgrading' to their service and now simply want to add my voice to the growing number who are
similarly angered by this pack of scoundrels. Thank you for setting up the opportunity to express my disatisfaction,
albeit via a surrogate channel..
All the best,

Forwarding correspondence as advised by you in this email...
Since sending this original complaint (below) to Virgin Media, I tried several more times to contact them in a vain
attempt to save my existing email address.
Eventually I did get through, only to be told the time-period for transferring my connection had expired and I must
allow my NTL Freedom account to run down and then set up a new account with Virgin Media. This would result in my
having no email server at all for several weeks.
I decided to sever relations with Virgin Media altogether, but now find they are proving impossible to secure my
MAC ID from. I believe withholding this is illlegal but speaking to someone about getting it has proved impossible.
The one successful contact I made ended with me being given the false information that my MAC ID is displayed on the
underside of the modem they supplied. This ID has long expired as I've had the modem for two years and the MAC ID
only covers me for 30 days.
I can't believe the advisor at VM was not fully aware of this when he agave me the wrong information. The attrocious
behavior of Virgi n Media seems to just keep piling up!
