You cannot get in touch with Virgin media to report a fault, but you can still order a new service

Thousands of Virgin media domestic customers lost their service/s and at the time of writing this article are unable to contact Virgin to report the fault, but you can still contact them to upgrade to a new service or to buy broadband, telephone, and TV services.

The usual support numbers like 150 from your Virgin home phone or 08451 420 000 or 0845 454 1111 are unobtainable or permanently engaged when customers are ringing to report lost of services. However, if you ring their sales line on 0845 650 454, you will get to speak to a human. It is no consolation though, because not only Virgin has not put anything on their website to inform customers about the break in service, likely cause and when it will be rectified, the sales staff are annoyed that instead of selling stuff and earning money, they are fielding support calls.

When we telephoned Virgin, we spoke to Llortta, from Philippine, we were referred to the non obtainable numbers again. Please note that if you ring these 0845 numbers, you will be charged for the call  even if you have free calls on your landline plan.
Several attempts were made to contact Virgin media, but their overseas call centre staff were unable to either explain the issue, or direct us to anyone in Virgin media who could clarify the situation.

Virgin has in the past tried to bid for the British Lottery and in the recent  past tried to buy Northern Rock unsuccessfully.
