Dear Customers Concern
I Phoned customers service and was told to put this complaint in writing
I would like compensation for damage to the interior of my house caused by the following detail as below.
I have a gentleman calling on the 13th February to sort out a problem I have with the bad connection of the cable box that was fitted by virgin to the outside of the house, the box that was fitted stands about one & half inches from wall & should be flush so moisture cannot come through .
Because of the bad fit to outside, it has caused the inside of my wall to become damp. I also have cavity wall insulation and do not know what damage this has done to the cavity. The damage has been happening for a long while, but I only noticed it a few months ago as the black on the inside started to appear.
The damp has gone on to two walls, as it is fitted near a corner, hence the wallpaper, is now all black and peeling. I also have a very expensive wood floor that at present is not apparently damaged. Hopefully damage to boards will not appear at a later date.
To correct the inside will mean stripping the walls that have been damaged to dry out firstly and then to decorated, of which is a lot of work for me. I have a large living room of 25 foot - 12 foot, the walls are painted over lining paper, so I will have to paint the entire room so it will match
I will require wallpaper & paint for walls enough to paint entire room and paint for skirting boards
I would also ask you to take into account the work involved, and the time that this problem is now causing me. If this box had been fitted correctly, my wall would not be damaged, and I would also not have all the work required to correct it, this is going to take me hours, a problem I could do without
I would also like to add my husband is wheelchair bound and is unable to do any diy & I also suffer with a balance disorder of menieres disease of which I find decorating difficult because my balance is not always very good it varies day to day
I have enclosed pictures of outside the house, inside house & a picture of my room to show you that my house is well looked after.
I am sorry the pictures are not perfect, my printer is old and does not print as well as it could. This has also cost me for printer ink.
I will be posting these documents recorded delivery, so as to make sure they arrive, I will also expect postage costs occurred to me.
I will expect compensation for all items listed.
I am also losing my internet connection on a daily basis
I would appreciate a prompt reply concerning this matter
